A Shallow Dive Into Numerology

I’m not sure what it is that is so special to me about numerology. I feel that it is such a straight forward concept which encompasses SO much.

It is one of the modalities that lends me to channeling while I work. For example, if I take the vague understanding of what a certain number represents, I can then channel a more complex description of how that pertains to my client’s life or tattoo design in a much more specific way.

I’m sure any of you Tarot or Oracle readers out there know exactly what I mean. It’s the same feeling as when you flip over a tarot card. You are familiar with the card and what it represents, and with your intuition, you are able to paint the client’s specific story. You will know what parts will resonate more with the client, and what parts aren’t necessarily correlating in that specific reading.

Numerology is in everything, including tarot. It is one of the most fun modalities for me to play around with based on what my client wants to see in their design.

For example, it could be a literal interpretation where there could be two flowers to represent numerology 2 meaning, or, I can relate that Number to it’s Tarot Correspondence, which is the High Priestess, and use that card for inspiration. Each is also linked to a Chakra, Chakra’s are also linked to tarot via Numerology, and each chakra is also linked to a body placement. So really it all comes full circle. And it is IMMENSELY satisfying when one modality validates or perpetuates the next. For this example, the High Priestess is also linked to the heart chakra, which radiates into the arms and hands. So when I’m starting to channel a client’s energy as a Numerology 2, and they then tell me they definitely want it somewhere on the arms, it just makes everything feel like a nice neat little package.

And this seems to be the case in each and every alchemy tattoo I do. Most of my clients who come to me are spiritual, and therefore are also highly intuitive, and it shows. Some clients basically have channeled most of the tattoo themselves. I end up just validating that further by giving concrete information in the Alchemy Love Letter as to all the correspondences within the design and body placement. A real treat if I do say so myself.

Now onto the good stuff!

What is Numerology?

It’s using numbers as a form of divination. Other forms of divination include (but are not limited to) oracle card readings, tarot readings, tea leaf readings, coffee ground readings, pendulum dowsing, palm reading, charm reading etc.. There are 3 major types of Numerology, but for the sake of this blog post I will not be deep-diving through them. That will be for another blog post for another time! The 3 major types are Chaldean, Pythagorean, and Kabbalah.

Gematria is the actual term for when you assign a number to words, names, dates, etc. This is also very near and dear to my heart, because I believe I was called to use it through my ancestral guides, who are Middle Eastern. Therefore, I usually make it my first modality when channeling, and build the rest of the alchemy from there. This practice predates the countries of Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Iran, to the Assyrian land(s) of Mesopotamia. It also dates back to the Miqra of Judaism.

You can look for an assigned numerical value to something, such as tarot or chakras, which already have been assigned based on correspondences. Alternatively, you can find something’s numerical value, such as a person’s life path number or the property of a home based off the address. You can go as simple or as complex as you like with numerology, which is what makes it so fascinating to me!

If you have any questions on Numerology, please feel free to reach out to me. After I give short little blog posts about the modalities I use, I will then be diving into more information on them in the future. Thanks for the read!
